Visa Type: Schengen Short Stay Visa (Type C)

Note: Stay duration and validity are at the sole discretion of the Embassy/Consulate.

  • Embassy of Germany, New Delhi – Residents of New Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, and Bhutan.

  • Consulate General of Germany, Mumbai – Residents of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Union Territories of Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

  • Consulate General of Germany, Bangalore – Residents of Karnataka and Kerala.

  • Consulate General of Germany, Chennai – Residents of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Puducherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

  • Consulate General of Germany, Kolkata – Residents of West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Tripura, and Bhutan.

Jurisdiction is based on place of residence for the past 6 months, not passport issue location.

Citizens of Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine holding biometric passports do not require a Schengen visa.

Visa fee in INR is calculated at the exchange rate applicable on the day of submission and subject to change without notice.

  • €30 per applicant (INR equivalent, calculated daily as per European Central Bank exchange rate)

  • Inclusive of VAT and all taxes

  • Payable in cash or via UPI at the Visa Application Centre

Visa fees and service charges are non-refundable, regardless of outcome.

  • Mandatory: Fingerprints + Photo (for applicants 12 years and above)

  • Exempt: Children under 12 years, diplomatic/service passport holders, and other exempt categories listed above
