Spain Short Stay Visa – Overview

Visa Type: Sticker Visa (Short Stay Schengen Visa – Type C)
Stay Duration: Up to 90 Days (within any 180-day period)
Visa Validity: Usually 180 Days (at the discretion of the Embassy of Spain / Consulate General of Spain)
Processing Time: Approx. 15 Working Days (can extend to 45 days if interview or extra docs required)

⚠️ Stay duration and validity are solely at the discretion of the Embassy/Consulate. A visa does not guarantee entry — final decision lies with border authorities.

Visa Fees

• Adults (12+ years): €90

• Children (6–12 years): €45

• Children (0–6 years): Free

• VFS Service Charge: €16 (approx. ₹1400–₹1600) per applicant
  (Inclusive of 18% GST; payable in cash or by card)

• Visa fee in INR varies with exchange rates and is non-refundable.

Required Documents

All documents must be in English or Spanish and as per BLS guidelines

• Completed and signed Schengen visa application form

• 1 passport-size photo (white/light background, recent)

• Valid passport (issued within last 10 years, valid 6 months after return, 2 blank pages)

• Copy of passport bio page + previous visas/stamps

• Travel medical insurance: Min. €30,000 coverage, valid for all Schengen countries and full trip

• Roundtrip flight booking (do not purchase until visa approval)

• Hotel bookings for entire stay OR invitation letter (if staying with host)

• Proof of financial means

  • Bank statements (last 3 months, signed & stamped)

  • Income Tax Returns/Form 16 (last 2 years)

  • Salary slips (last 3 months)

  • PAN card copy

• If sponsored: Sponsorship letter, sponsor’s bank statements & proof of relationship

• Proof of residence in your jurisdiction (utility bill/lease/property papers)

• If minor applicant:

  • Form signed by both parents

  • Notarised parental consent letter

  • Copies of both parents’ passports
